New exiting Vestas PCBA functional test project!
New Vestas project
Starting up on a new Vestas project our contact person PE Developer Simon Ganderup published a description of the project on LinkedIn.
"It is with great expectations, that we have now signed a contract and send a purchase order to both ASYS and DSE, ordering them to construct our new automated PCBA functional test island.
The test island will enable us to cut the labor cost associated with functional test by 77%. The solution can be applied across our product portfolio, which makes the scalability of the solution great. Furthermore, the solution is ready to automate even further with AIV PCB transport, load and unload.
The test island PCB handling equipment will be based on ASYS standard mechanics (proven to be of high quality), and controlled by the ASYS IC Platform.
The functional test will be powered by the National Instruments TestStand software platform, which will be customize programed by DSE. DSE will also provide software training for TestStand, plus the first product test sequence to run on this new test platform.
The test instruments, cabling, and fixtures for the ASYS ATH 01 test handler, including 2 product fixtures sets and a “self-test fixture” is also delivered by DSE.
Both FAT and SAT milestones is included for both vendors during the project.
A great thanks to all the people who have participated in the preparation of this project. Your effort will payoff greatly!"
